Pepsi Marketing Internship

Description:
A single marketing internship is provided to a Bloomsburg University student for each fall and spring semester. The position interacts with various Bloomsburg University departments, the campus dining service and the Pepsi Bottling Group. The intern reports to the Bloomsburg University Dining Service liaison.

Responsibilities:

• Work 20 hours per week on Pepsi related marketing for Bloomsburg University.
• Assist in the development of a Pepsi related marketing calendar
• Help develop programs and weekend events that are fun and exciting for students and will involve a diverse cross section of the University.
• Coordinate, oversee and aid in the execution of all Pepsi related marketing programs.
• Act as a liaison between Bloomsburg University and Pepsi Bottling Group by communicating major campus events to the company, as well as assisting students and staff in their requests.
• Attend periodic regional marketing development meetings.
• Maintain a detailed report of marketing activities and expenses.
• Develop and present an end-of-semester summary of marketing efforts, events, expenses and overall impact of the marketing program.
• Work in conjunction with the Aramark marketing consultant.

Compensation:

• $10 per hour for approximately 17 weeks per semester (Aug-Nov, Jan-Apr).
• Have the opportunity to apply learned academic principles in a "real-world" environment.

Letter should include: Name, contact information, major, summary of past marketing experience, reason for applying for the Pepsi internship, future career aspirations and any other information that will assist in the selection of the right intern for the position. Letters of interest will be accepted from February 18-March 19, 2009. Candidates must complete a current year FAFSA form and employment application in the Financial Aid Office, maintain a 2.0 or greater cumulative GPA. Select candidates will be contacted for an interview after March 19, 2009.
