This is a WebQuest that will explore keeping accurate accounting records so that your new business can become and remain a success, the GOAL of any new entrepreneur.  This activity can be used in an entrepreneur class or an accounting class.  Please make sure to check all links to make sure they are still in use.

    * Performance Expectations:

    B: Identifying Types of Business Records

        -  Level 3 - Describe the effect that inaccurate or missing records have on other business records.

        - Level 4 - Identify records needed for the day-to-day operation of a planned business.

        - Understand the importance of inventory control systems.

        - Analyze the relationship of record keeping and tax reporting.

    C:  Establishing and Using Business Records

        - Level 4 - Develop plans to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.

    D: Interpreting Business Records

        - Level 3 - Forecast sales in order to plan purchases

        - Plan purchases based on sales forecasts

        - Level 4 - Evaluate the financial condition of a firm based on business records.

    *  This WebQuest is designed to meet the needs of youth in 9th through 12th grades.
